Aftercare

  • One calendar months’ notice of intention to deregister learners from our Aftercare must be submitted in writing to parownorthfinance@gmail.com.

  • Failure to give the required one calendar month notice, will result in one month’s fees being charged in lieu of no notice, or late notice, given.

  • Deregistered learners will have to re-apply, and the administration fee will have to be paid again, in order for a learner to return to Aftercare.

  • The Aftercare closes at 17:30 daily.

  • Parents will be fined R50 for every 15 minutes, or part thereof, that they arrive after 17:30. No staff will be available to care for children after 17:30. Parents, who have been issued with three fines, will no longer be allowed to make use of our Aftercare.

  • Morning Care: Available from 06:30 to 07:15. This service is privately run. Please contact Mrs Diane Pienaar directly (084 301 0282).

  • Learners are required to change into comfortable clothing once they have signed in at Aftercare.

  • Parents must sign out in the daily attendance register when collecting learners from Aftercare.

  • If you have arranged for someone else to collect your child, or your child is going home with a friend, the Aftercare must be notified per letter, or a WhatsApp or SMS sent to 084 301 0282.

  • Supervised homework takes place according to the programme below.

  • It remains the responsibility of the parent to check homework given by the class educator, and to sign the learner’s diary.

  • Please arrange with the Aftercare if you require your child to start homework earlier or longer than the programme stipulates.

  • 12:50 : Grade R: Collect learners from their classrooms. Eat and inside play.

  • 13:30 : Grade 1 and 2: Learners sign in, change into civvies, and eat.

  • 13:40 : Grade R to 2: Outside play.

  • 14:00 : Grade 1 and 2 Long Aftercare: Supervised homework.

  • 14:00 : Grade 3: Learners sign in, change into civvies, and eat.

  • 14:30 : Grade 4 to 7: Learners sign in, change into civvies, and eat.

  • 15:15 : Grade 3 to 7: Supervised homework.

  • 16:15 : Outside play or inside play with Aftercare games, etc.

  • 17:20 : Tidy up time.

  • 17:30 : Aftercare closes.

  • Clothing which is marked clearly will be returned to the learners. Unmarked clothing (school uniform and/or casual clothes) will be removed from the Aftercare on Monday mornings and be given either to the clothing bank or charity organisations.

  • The Aftercare accepts no responsibility for damages to, or lost toys or items. Please leave expensive/treasured toys and items at home. (Dangerous items will be confiscated.)

  • Learners are not permitted to use their cell phones in Aftercare. Cell phones will be confiscated if being used and returned to the parent.

  • Meals are not provided by the Aftercare. Parents are required to pack in food and drink for not only during the school day, but also for Aftercare. Learners may make use of the Aftercare’s fridge to store food during the school day and may ask Aftercare staff to warm food in the microwave oven.

  • If a learner is absent from school, Aftercare must be notified by 12:00 via WhatsApp or SMS sent to 084 301 0282.

  • Learners participating BLearners participating in away sports matches must report to Aftercare before departing on the bus.
